About 4DG

We specialise in locating, describing, measuring and understanding geo materials and masses, current ground surface morphology and the processes that have acted or are currently acting upon a site to affect its historic and present form. We use the results of these studies to ensure all structures built from or interacting with the earth are designed and constructed cost effectively and with knowledge / account of geo uncertainty / risk, in turn allowing them to be operated as required by their owners.

Formed in April 1996, initially trading as John F Kennedy & Associates Pty Limited, 4DG specialise in providing engineering geological, engineering geomorphological and geotechnical engineering consulting services to large primary industry projects. 4DG focus on providing geotechnical input to the development of new or extension of existing heavy haul rail networks, infrastructure including mine and harbour plant foundations, conveyors, roads, pipelines, dams and slopes. At 4DG we aim to be involved with projects from as early as possible and to work with the owner, engineer and contractor until the project is successfully completed.
